I don’t think this is bad feng shui. Especially if your office window is behind you. The first thing a person sees when they enter your office is your desk(with you behind it presumably). This gives a position of prominance and gives you the added benefit of being the central focus in the room. I would suggest putting your guest chairs to the side of the desk. This will give the added benefit of making your position more commanding.

if your office is small, and the office is in a big building, then everything is okay. yes, it is not good to have it directly the door, but again fengshui depends on how big your space, which holds the chi. if your space is small, then the chi it holds is also small. and there is no remedy to make it hold more chi. you just make do with what you have – meaning, even if you do something about your small office, the effect is not significant for you to notice changes in your life.

You can place a screen in front of your desk if possible.
The last resort is a pair of chi-lun.

*THE LOGIC OF WHY IT IS BAD*
Having an office desk facing the door directly is bad because there will be too much chi going in one direction and heading straight at you. This type of chi is actually called shar chi. Basically, chi flowing too much in one straight direction is bad.
You’ll notice a lot of walkways and paths in traditional chinese houses are curved and never in a straight direction (to prevent the chi from flowing too quickly).
*THE SOLUTION TO IT*
You need to make sure the chi doesn’t ‘hit’ you straight on and is allowed to disperse gracefully. To do this, you can place plants, a large round stone sphere, or auspicious Feng Shui items. Doing this will slow down the flow of chi and allow it to spread in the area with positive qualities. The simplest is to use plants.
Many friends and customers have trouble visualizing the logic so here is usually what i tell them. Imagine chi as air/wind. If there’s a light breeze (allowed to roam around) it’s great! If it’s too strong (think super concentrated force of air), it’s bad. So if you have something to interrupt the super fast flow of air (like an air freshener), the wind disperses and roams the area with a nice scent. Your plant or auspicious feng shui item will be the proverbial air freshener

Note that facing the door is not that bad. It is a commanding position in the room and allows you to see who is coming at you.
It is much better than having your back to the door. That is very bad chi!

I would consider facing the door the best aspect – you will always see ‘who’ and ‘what’ is coming in to you. However, if you feel you’d like to slow down, or block any negative chi heading your direction, I would recommend a large-ish amethyst crystal on your desk, this would slow down energy due to it’s size, plus the properties of amethyst absorb negative energy.
