fengshui is not that easy. even if you paint your house with whatever color you like, the energy in it wont change. so you are not really doing anything as far as fengshui is concerned. fengshui is more than an arrangement of furnitures. at the center of fengshui are the fengshui methods like flying stars, 8 manisons, etc.; with these methods you measure, calculate and analyze the energy in and out of your house – so you can use those spaces accordingly. in the simplest sense, for you to have a good life, you need to use more those spaces with good energy while leaving the areas with bad energy alone. when man use a certain space by living in it more, he/ she activates the energy that is in it. unfortunately, that person can activate both good energy and bad energy. activating means the characteristic of this energy becomes the characteristic of your life. this is how fengshui practitioners manipulate life. the only problem is that nature is more powerful than man. so you cannot just make a room have good energy or adjust it to have good energy. this is impossible without any major renovation. in an ideal fengshui world, you need to determine what kind of energy exists in a location in the house, then use it accordingly. these energies are not general, each is specific, and as such each has a purpose. so you can have a room as a kitchen, which in fengshui is responsible for attracting wealth, which in fengshui is more important than health. because when you get sick, when you have money, you can basically get well because of doctors. in the case of a bedroom, you just need to put it in a location where there is a good health energy. so you see, the locations of where your bedroom and home office are more important than what you put in them.

Green and blue are said to be the colors that can enhance our health. Feng shui practitioners believe that the color green symbolizes longevity, growth and rebirth while the color blue represents calmness, flexibility and inner peace. To paint your bedroom walls green or to use it as the theme color is like bringing nature into your room. It can revitalize those who have been ill and be the soul tonic to those who are already healthy. Similarly, decorating your bedroom with the color blue is believed to be good for relaxation and meditation. When your mind becomes more refreshed, your body will do the same.

In feng shui, colors are divided into two groups. Yin colors are supposed to soothe your soul and help you relax whereas yang colors tend to motivate and excite you. As a bedroom is a place for retreat, yin colors should be dominant. Having too much yang will stir up too much tension and stop you from relaxing. However, your bedroom should not completely lack the yang energy, for having too much yin can cause languidness and the lack of motivation.

    Yang Colors
    •Red
    •Purple
    •Yellow
    •White
    •Gold/Orange

    Yin Colors
    •Pink
    •Green
    •Blue
    •Gray
    •Black

It is very good strategy to incorporate Feng Shui principles into your new home. Before choosing colors, you must first identify the different locations of your home and the different energy that prevails in this specific locations. Once this is done, you can choose the colors accordingly.
